How to update a director's name if they have no legal surname, or if they have an initial in their legal name.

If you are currently managing a company in Waive or wanting to add a company into Waive where a director's legal middle name or surname is either an initial, or they do not have a legal surname or first name, then due to ASIC system limitations you will need to lodge future forms via their 'paper exception process'.

There is unfortunately no workaround available for this issue.

This means that no EDGE software can process ANY form for this company and will always end up being rejected.

What you need to do is submit a request to ASIC to lodge documents via email.

Once approved, this means that for this company you will only ever be able to submit forms via email directly to ASIC.
