In the contacts tab within the company profile, email addresses need to be linked with the directors of the company in order for directors to have access to their director portals.
Below is an example of how you know if an email address is linked to the correct company member, and how you can tell if it is not linked:
In order to link the email address to the correct member of the company, press the 'actions' button and select 'edit', which will show you the below.
Simply select the correct member from the drop-down box and press 'save changes' to complete this:
If a mobile number is not added in, then that person will not receive any of the SMS reminders for any Annual Review or Forms that you have sent out and are still outstanding.
By clicking onto the linked member's name, this will re-direct you to that member's contact card where you can see the companies they are a part of as well as other helpful information, which you can read about in more detail here. (article to be published shortly)
Contact Status:
You will notice that the status of the contact will either be listed with a green 'active' icon, or an orange 'pending' icon.
Below explains what they mean:
Active - This means that the person who owns that mailbox has verified their email address.

When you first add their email address into Waive, they will receive a verification email asking them to verify their email address to help ensure that the emails you send them do not end up in their junk/spam folder.
Below is a screenshot of the default email that goes out:
Pending - This means that the person who owns that mailbox, has NOT verified their email address via the verification email.

Notes:
1. You can re-send the verification email to them if you would like by pressing the 'edit' button on their contact, and select 'send verification email'.
2. If the contact is not listed as 'active', this does NOT mean that they will not receive any of your emails.
The best way to ensure that your clients are receiving your emails is to email us and update your DNS settings - Read more about
this here.

It is important to note that when you resign a director from a company, that their email address will be removed from the contacts tab of the company.
Similarly, if you appoint a new director to a company and have emailed them in Waive (to sign the 484 that appointed them) then their email address will be added in the contacts tab of the company.
